Erik Bishoff Photography in Fine Homebuilding Magazine

Late last year Fine Homebuilding came to me seeking images of a recently completed home that I photographed earlier that year.  The home is a wholly unique one here in Eugene-Springfield as the first and only LEED Platinum/Net-Zero/Passive Houses in valley.  (Perhaps in the state?)  The building is the home of University of Oregon Landscape Architecture Professor Mark Gillem and is a sort of "testing ground" for sustainable technologies.

Being a small part of this project in providing services to Professor Gillem, Fine Homebuilding Magazine, & Six Degrees Construction has been an absolute privilege.  If all goes well I may be returning to the site to capture some images for the window manufacturer later this year.  I would look forward to applying some of the new technologies and techniques I've acquired over the last 12 months if-and-when I get to revisit this project. More to come!

The Urban Collaborative Offices

I was recently contacted by local Planner and Architect Mark Gillem of The Urban Collaborative (http://www.urbancollaborative.com) to photograph his offices in the US Bank building here in Eugene.  The goal of the shoot was to capture the modern look and feel of the space as well as the impressive view while showing the designers work in the process.  The office is a working office so there was some challenge to capturing the space while allowing the staff to continue their work while on a tight deadline.  I appreciate having the opportunity to use people in architecture photos to help illustrate how the space is used and to provide a human scale.

Hospitality Photography – The Windmill Inn of Roseburg

Thanks to the good people of The InnSight Hotel Management Group and The Windmill Inn of Roseburg for making a demanding and complex shoot go so smoothly.  One would assume that the folks that run successful hotels would be naturals at being accommodating and easy to work with.  In this case, one would be correct!

I am always delighted to see my work go live in someones marketing campaign.  In this case, I found my images front-and-center on the index page of http://www.windmillinnroseburg.com/ as we’d discussed.  I grabbed a couple screenshots.  Enjoy!
